How to Register

Available classes are listed below. You can sign up at any Newport News Community Center or click the class name and it will take you to the Newport News Parks and Rec Online Class Catalog where you can register (note: there is a fee for online registration).

-- Classes are $50 and are approximately 1 hour a week for 8 weeks (unless otherwise indicated)

Wednesdays: January 9th -- February 27th

-- Guitar / Ukulele Adventures (ages 7+): 6 - 6:50pm

-- Computer Animation: Part 2 (ages 7+): 7 - 7:50pm

Saturdays: January 12th -- March 2nd

-- Piano Adventures (ages 6+): 9 - 9:50am

-- Computer Animation & Game Design: Robots (ages 7+): 10 - 10:50am

-- Piano, Guitar, or Ukulele: Part 2 (ages 6+): 11 - 11:50am

Winter @ Midtown Community Center

Tuesdays: January 8th -- February 26th

More goofy than it is scary, "The Haunting of South Baker Street" is Lego-brick animation fun! When 2 Lego-brick people come across a haunted house they did what anyone would do... run like crazy... oh wait, they didn't; the actually went inside!

"Stormy Seas" (an Animated Lego-brick Scene)

We had the boat made for a scene in our upcoming feature length Lego-brick movie, so we decided to use it to make this short scene about a ship in a storm. It is accompanied by gorgeous Native American flute playing!

"Dance of the Polar Bears!"

Everyone knows that Polar Bears love to dance; of course they do! These Lego-brick Polar Bears are no exception.

Dancing to the clarinet duet of the same name, these guys are too cute too handle!
